Two Double Oh Nine

2009 is soon to be a year in the past. Just another date in the history books (don't miss that class during the break..). But 365 days are soon to come with the year 2010. Two thousand and ten? Twenty ten? However you say it, it's comin' quick. And while I usually don't like to dwell on the past, I'd like to dedicate this post to the best and worst of 2009. So here we go...

Why I loved 2009:
Young Life Ski Trip
Turning Sixteen.. FINALLY
Carolyn's Wedding
Chris's Wedding
Amy's Woodlands Birthday Trip
Frontier Ranch
The OC with Makenna this summer
Discovering Gossip Girl, Leighton Meester, and GG music
The Snow Day
Making JV Cheer again
Both Cotillions
Memorial's Varsity Football team long run
The JV Cheer girls
Saying goodbye to my brownish blonde hair
Life in Graz
Yearbook/Lana Baumgartner
Being confirmed

What I hope to never see in 2010:

Cheer Camp (hope to see, but i dread those 4 days)
The Sock Hop
The delayed discovery of music by mainstream music people
Yearbook Camp (love to hate)
Farmville on Facebook
So little of my sister Carolyn
The stress of junior year
Twitter craze
Twilight nonsense
Movies like "Love Happens"

So let's ring in the New Year and hope that when I make this list this time next year the good outweighs the bad again. Merry Christmas to you and yours during this blessed season and have a wonderful new year filled with lots of fulfilled resolutions and blog posts by Bridget :)

Merry Music

For starters, I'd like to discuss how overjoyed I am that I have two half days remaining for the first semester of junior year. That means five semesters down, and only two to go. And the years just keep on speeding by more and more quickly. So, since I got out of school early today, I decided some blogging was necessary after a long break. What's on my mind you ask? Christmas, Makenna leaving me for 4 days for NYC ("boo you whore"), and of course- music. Please, don't let this list of my current favorite tunes discourage you from jamming out to Sunny 99.1 and Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas is You", but be sure to consider these when the sound of Jingle Bell Rock makes you want to cringe; we all know that day's coming soon.
