Sunday was my first day to explore the beach, so we all suited up and hit the sand with our towels, mags, iPods and headphones, and lots of sunscreen. For the most part, everyone came back unscathed by the wrath of the sun because we had all been down that road before and knew it wasn't pretty. We may have sacrificed a hardcore tan, but it was well worth it.
The Sunday group flew in that afternoon, but I have to admit that Brooke and I were happier to see our luggage than any of the people. Absence really does make the heart grow fonder.
A big group of us went to the flea market they had just blocks away from our resort. The girls had fun buying things, while the boys found their joy in bargaining with the vendors. The popular purchases included colorful headwraps, hats, and henna tattoos...
The resort hosted a Mexican fiesta that night with drinks and appetizers.
Here's basically the late night 908 crew minus Caro and Brad. That's Brooke, Tyler, me, Marshall, Del, and Julianne if any of you are hopelessly trying to keep track of who all these people are. Mom, that means you!
And then it was time for dinna and dancin'!
We stopped by a local bar that was built inside of a tree so we called it The Treehouse the whole week even though it definitely had a different name. And that just about completes day two!
