October Fever

October is one of my favorite (if not my favorite) months of the year; the school year settles down into a normal routine and the temperatures start to drop. We hit the 60s for the first time tonight in Austin, and Merl and I didn't hesitate for a second to put our jeans on.

The tenth month of the year means football season is in full swing, and our longhorns are really showing off their A game, winning big tonight over Iowa State. I got to watch the game in the comfort of Mary Elizabeth's home, and it was so nice to be in a warm family environment. Also, the holidays are lurking around the corner, and I'll have my first "coming home for the holidays" experience this year.

{could this be any cuter?}
My sister's family took a trip to a pumpkin patch and all their photos have got me itching to give annex some Halloween spirit. Kelsey informed us she's returning tomorrow with Halloween decor and I can't wait to see what she has in store.

It's for all these reasons that I've come to the conclusion that I want to get married in October. Don't laugh; it's perfectly normal for a girl of my age to think about such things...I've asked around! While I do understand that there's a lot of things that could interfere with this wish, a girl can dream, so while my fantasy is still alive and well, I'll share some of my other wedding day desires.

A cute save the date to get things started off right

Photobucket
Possibly an outdoor feast with candlelit picnic tables

Photobucket
Confetti in lieu of rice of flower petals to send off the happy newlyweds

Photobucket
Party favors that are clever, cute and delicious

Photobucket
His and her signature cocktails

Photobucket
A polaroid guest book that will be much more exciting to look back on than an array of signatures

Whenever someone asks me what my favorite flower is, I always say tulip. One because it's one of the few names I actually remember and two, I really do love them...upside down or right side up!

But I think I could manage with these gorgeous green flowers flooding over the tables

Love the idea of a pop of color underneath the dress

And of course a beautiful gown fit for a princess!
