Blast from the Past

After a near all-nighter for my biology test Friday, I was more than ready to be with my friends for the weekend. The Fiji 80s party was that night and we had lots of "babies" (high school seniors looking to come to UT) staying with us.

Merl and I went with a big group of girls to Abel's on the Lake for dinner. Though we looked like fools dressed in our leg warmers, scrunchies and sweatbands, we were in good company.

Here's Jenny and Merl sandwiching our visitors. They were all friends of Merl from Austin High, but I became friends with them instantly as any friend of Merl's is a friend of mine!

The party then moved over to 2A.

Meredith and I met through our mutual best friend Taylor, who is a senior at Memorial. They went to camp together and if they both choose to go to Texas, they will room together next year! A Merl and Moll pairing all over again at Hardin.

Love you Ellie!

And of course, Caro and I are still besties!

Ellie and MC know each other through camp, so they had a reuniting at the Fiji house. Word to the wise for those of you coming to college soon--neon/metallic leggings will be an invaluable resource.

Here's three-fourths of my Kappa fam with my big Kat and my great grand big Kaitlyn.

We all had a blast from the past (literally), and the rest of the weekend brought more excitement as Texas walked all over Tech the following morning. Big things were going on in Houston as my family welcomed its newest member--Quinn Kendrick McConn! Pictures to come soon. Congrats to Chris & Linds! It was a very successful weekend for everyone to say the least, especially with that extra hour of sleep from last night!
