I think the single most popular question I got asked as a child was "what's your favorite color?" I'm almost twenty now, and I still waver back and forth with this one. As a little girl, it was only fitting that I went through a pink phase. Then, when my first sister got married and had chartreuse in her color scheme because it was her favorite color, I developed copycat syndrome and also put green at the top of my list. Then, my miss independent junior high self deemed yellow a more unconventional choice. And in an attempt to show off some maturity (and in honor of the new color of my bedroom walls), grey was my new thing come the end of high school. And now, in the midst of my college years, I have a bad case of golden fever.

Rarely do I pick a silver piece of jewelry over gold. My LBD has subtle gold stitching up and down the seams. And every knick-knack I eye for the apartment has gold in some way, shape or form. There's something regal and luxurious about all things gold. I guess that makes me a golden girl temporarily, until I enter the next phase of my always-evolving color preferences. So, in the great words of Buddy the Elf, I ask you, what's your favorite color?
