If you've missed my regular posting here, I should probably mention I've been publishing elsewhere. I contribute the '
Friday Five' column on
L. Avenue, a local fashion blogger who I found a lot of common ground with over
Common Bond coffee despite our slight age gap.
I provide some fresh content from around the web for her and in return, she rewards me with wardrobe additions and the inspiration to keep reading and writing.
My job affords me the same opportunity as the author behind the
Biscuit '
Journal.' There, I discuss design, products, events and seasonal features. But, I'm back at BOD today as Lyndsey (of
L. Avenue) gave me the week off, so I give you all a Friday Five of Bridget's very own.

I do, I do! Anything for you, sweet Caroline. Can't wait to shower you with all the love you deserve leading up to your big day.

shop the soft Turkish T towels here // more on my summer reads soon! |
An homage to my signature blog sign-off, I couldn't resist this monogram style, simply MB, for my
Turkish T towel I took to Florida with me.

this utilitarian shirt dress will serve me well for Sunday church every season of the year |
My mom is the best and worst influence on me: she shows me sales I shouldn't shop and offers rosé on week nights when I
really should resist. But, as number seven, I like to indulge her, which is why I copied her and bought
this Claridge + King dress on mega sale at a store actually called
Indulge.

I was more intrigued, though, by their rack of tennis apparel, all way too stylish to be sportswear. I was motivated to earn the rights to buy a skirt if I see major improvements on my skills from my lessons at Rice I started with Lexi, Caroline and Sarah this week.

cooling off with Carlos Dangers - jalapeño & pineapple house infused tequila, triple sec, lime & agave |
So, I'm seeing old friends and making new. My new co-worker Abbey comes to us from Alabama, and I look forward to our cubicle convos daily. And of course, the occasional happy hour convo, which was happening here at
La Grange with Carlos Dangers to sip and chips and queso to dip.

many favorite friends all in one place -- me, Nicole, Courtney, Josephine, Caroline, Sarah & Analise |
Tonight, I'm seeing college Kappa friends both the year above and below. Next weekend I'll be reunited with my first ever college friend who I now call my best, Merl, in DC. She was a bday girl this week, so wish her the best!
'Cause she is. Have a great weekend, everyone!
